A very difficult year. I lost my best friend 'Lucy' and of course 'Emma' lost her mum and became a very sad dog. What to do ? I decided to mate her to Sh Ch Marksway Marquis and as soon as she had been mated, she brightened up and happiness returned. Emma had her first litter in December 1992 and this produced two new Show Champions - Sh Ch Delsanto Lucinda & Sh Ch Delsanto Luke (owned by Sue Edwards)
SH CH DELSANTO LUCINDA (Lottie)
Lottie was a real sweetie, very gentle natured and didn't really get up to too much mischief. Her worst moments were hating being brushed & rolling in fox droppings!!
In the show ring she was so often in the shadow of her mother, Sh Ch Delsanto Roxanne, so found it hard to break through but she won many RCC's, 6, but did go on to gain her crown and ended up with 6 CC's.

A favourite moment was at the ISAE Contest of Champions when both Lottie & her mum won both top prizes!!
SH CH DELSANTO LUKE (Joshua)
I met Sue Edwards in 1992. She wanted a son of Sh Ch Marksway Marquis and was pointed in my direction. She was new to the show world but wanted to try it so she took Delsanto Luke who was a novices dream. For an Irish Setter he was easy to show and had lots of successes ending up a Show Champion with 3 CC's & 2 RCC's. He was used at stud and he produced a son who became Sh Ch Cedrus Solitaire who was a Championship Show Gundog Group winner.
So, through the wonderful world of dogs , I met Sue who has been a good friend over the many years.
