MEET A FEW OTHER DELSANTO IRISH SETTERS..........

I only keep a maximum of four dogs as they are all part of the family. With four they can all join in everything together - all go in the car, all go for walks together etc etc.

So as well as Zac, Maisie ( click here /thenewprogeny_300274.html) there is Rosy, now aged 12 & Alfie, the new recruit.

Rosy is litter sister to the very successful Sh Ch Delsanto Eleanor of Jennison owned by Terry & Barbara Wharton. ( click here /anothershowchampionshchdelsantoeleanor_300273.html )

Rosy has never been happy in the show ring but has proven herself as a brood bitch and rules the roost at home. She will be 12 years old in September 2009.

There are others that I still think of as mine but live (or have lived) with new owners who have become great friends :-

There is Charley........she lives with Glenise in Notts and has a lovely life as a spoilt 'only' dog - gets to sleep on the bed etc! She had some good wins in the show ring qualifying for Crufts several times.

& Minnie has now gone to live with Simon & Margot near Berwick upon Tweed. They were saddened by the loss of Freddie ( Delsanto Frederick) but now that void has been filled by "magical" Minnie....

Minnie was 2nd at Crufts in 2005 & 2006.

Henry (brother to Sh Ch Delsanto Isaac) has had a successful show career in Scotland with Bill Blackie. He has qualified for Crufts and had some good wins in Ireland (see above). He now has a younger companion Romarne Heidi who is the daughter of Minnie above,

DELSANTO INDIGO (Logan)

Logan is brother to Delsanto Isaac ( click here /thenewprogeny300274.html) and lives in Norwich with his owners Paul & Frances. He has been to a few shows and won a few cards for his owners.He lives with his younger Irish Setter companion, Rafferty.

I met Paul & Frances in 1992 when they came to look at a litter by Sh Ch Marksway Marquis. This was a really nice litter which produced Show Champions Delsanto Luke & Delsanto Lucinda. (click here /moreshowchampions_298211.html)

Another very nice dog in that litter was Delsanto Louis who was lightly shown & did OK. He had a great life in Norwich with his Irish Setter companion, Raffles. Sadly, both of these dogs have now passed away but their memories stay forever.

DELSANTO CHARISMATIC (Rafferty)

Rafferty lives in Worcestershire with Kirsty O'Connor & her family & is loved by everyone.. He has been a very successful show dog but has now retired & lives with another Delsanto Irish Setter, Izzy & also Harvey ( a Tibetan Terrier). He is the brother of Delsanto Charmaine.

This is Izzy (sister to Delsanto Isaac JW)who also lives in Worcestershire & has a great life avoiding being a show dog!!! One day, she might get there but watch this space........

DELSANTO MADALINE (Ruby)

Ruby lives life to the full with Diane Evans in the Black Country. She spends her weekends being a country dog in Wales, loves playing with children and absolutely adores puddles & socks!!! She has been shown lightly at Open Shows with some success & she has also done obedience training . Not an easy dog to train due to her exhuberance for everything ( taking after her father Zac!) but is a great best friend!

DELSANTO CHARLOTTE (Lottie)

Lottie lives in Cheshire with the Ford family and has a lovely country life along with the horses and her companion, Delsanto Isabelle (Izzy). Compared to Izzy, Lottie is an angel , which is probably just as well, two troublemakers might be too much!!!

Freddie lives in Stone with his owners Julie & David Wright (& family) & is an absolutely pampered pet. How do you tell him he isn't a human!!
